Claude

How do you connect LinkedIn saved posts to Claude?

Add the LinkedMash MCP server to Claude. Import your saves with the browser extension, generate an API token under Settings then Developer API, and add https://mcp.linkedmash.com/api/mcp?token=YOUR_TOKEN to your Claude config. Claude can then search your library, quote the original post, and draft and schedule from it.

Here’s a draft from your 6 strongest posts — lead with a trigger, keep it tight, end with a soft ask. Want me to schedule it for 9am tomorrow?
1

Import your saved posts

Add the LinkedMash extension. It brings your existing LinkedIn saved posts across with text, author and media.

2

Add the server to Claude

Put a linkedmash entry in the mcpServers block of claude_desktop_config.json, with the hosted URL and your token.

3

Restart and ask

Restart Claude and ask it to find your saved posts on a topic. Real posts coming back means you are connected.

Grounded answers

Claude reads your library, not the web

Claude searches the posts you personally saved, so the answer comes from sources you already vetted and links back to the original post.

  • Keyword and meaning-based search
  • Answers cite the post they came from
  • Filter by author, label and date

Two things I keep re-reading about shortcuts:

the fastest prompt is the one you saved as a skill, and most LinkedIn hacks do not survive 90 days.

A skill, not just a server

LinkedMash ships an agent skill so Claude Code knows the workflows, not only the raw tool list.

  • /plugin marketplace add linkedmash/agent-skills
  • Or npx skills add linkedmash/agent-skills
  • Same token, same hosted server

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Claude to my LinkedIn saved posts?

Install the LinkedMash browser extension to import your saved posts, generate an API token in LinkedMash under Settings then Developer API, then add a linkedmash entry to the mcpServers block of claude_desktop_config.json pointing at https://mcp.linkedmash.com/api/mcp with your token. Restart Claude and it can search your library.

Where is the Claude config file?

Claude Desktop reads ~/.claude/claude_desktop_config.json. The LinkedMash entry goes inside the mcpServers object as a single url field, so there is no command or arguments to configure and nothing to install locally.

Can Claude read my saved posts without an extension?

No. LinkedIn has no saved-posts API, so the posts have to be imported from your own browser session first. The LinkedMash extension does that once, then Claude reads the imported library over MCP rather than touching LinkedIn.

Can Claude write and schedule LinkedIn posts?

Yes, on the Creator plan. Claude can create a draft from your saves, update it, and schedule it into your posting slots, and it publishes through LinkedIn official Posts API. On Reader, Claude can search, read and label but not draft or schedule.

Does this work with Claude Code?

Yes. Claude Code connects to the same hosted server, and LinkedMash also publishes an agent skill: run /plugin marketplace add linkedmash/agent-skills inside Claude Code, or npx skills add linkedmash/agent-skills in a terminal.

Is my API token safe in the config file?

Treat it like a password: it grants access to your own LinkedMash library and nothing on LinkedIn itself. Keep it out of source control, and revoke or regenerate it from Settings then Developer API if it leaks.

Put your saves inside Claude

Import your library, generate a token, and paste one config block.
