By using or accessing LinkedMash, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your information as described.

Identity & Access

Email Address

When you sign up for LinkedMash, we ask for your email address to personalize your account and send updates and essential information.

LinkedIn Account

LinkedMash uses a Chrome extension to fetch saved LinkedIn posts from the account you are currently logged into.
  • We store your LinkedIn profile information (name, username, profile picture) and publicly available information from your saved posts in our database.
  • Saved posts are associated with an internal user ID to link them with your LinkedMash account for features such as content organization, search, labeling, content creation, and AI-powered insights.
  • Our Chrome extension requires host permissions to linkedin.com to fetch saved posts and does not access any additional personal information beyond what you've saved.
  • We comply with LinkedIn's API Terms of Use and do not use your data for advertising, sales prospecting, recruiting, or any commercial activities outside of the features you explicitly authorize.


We will never sell your personal info to third parties or use your name in marketing statements without your permission.

Third-Party Services

LinkedMash uses third-party services such as cloud computing & AI providers to deliver our services. We use the following third-party services:

  • Cloud service provider
  • Payment providers
  • Product analytics
  • Content Publishing Services
    • LinkedIn API - Publishing content back to LinkedIn when you create and schedule posts
  • Optional AI Services
    • OpenAI - AI services to create insights from your bookmarks
    • Pinecone - Vector database to store and retrieve AI embeddings

To comply with best practices for data protection and user privacy, LinkedMash obtains explicit consent from users before any personal data is shared with third-party services. By completing the setup for additional features like the AI assistant, you are agreeing to share your bookmarks data with these third-party services for the specific purposes described.



Opt-Out and Data Sharing Control

For optional features that involve third-party services (such as AI-powered insights), you can discontinue use of these features at any time through your account settings. This action effectively opts you out of data sharing for those specific services.

If you have concerns with any of our third-party providers, you can delete your account from the settings page once you are logged in. This will remove all your personal data from LinkedMash and cease any further data sharing.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and store certain information. Cookies are small data files that may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some parts of our Service may not function properly without cookies.

Your Rights With Respect to Your Information

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. LinkedMash aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.   • Right to Object - Object to how or why your personal information is processed in certain situations.
  • Right to Portability - Receive your personal information and transmit it to another party.
  • Right to not be subject to Automated Decision-Making - Prevent decisions with legal or significant effects on you from being made solely based on automated processes. Limited if necessary for contract performance, allowed by European law, or based on your explicit consent.

Security & Encryption

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. Database backups are also encrypted. Data isn’t encrypted while live in our database, but we secure your data at rest.

Deletion of Personal Information

You can request deletion of your personal data through our app or by emailing us at hello@linkedmash.com. We ensure no personal information is stored on our servers within 48 hours of your request.

Location of Site and Data

Our servers are operated in the United States. By using our Site, participating in our services, and providing us with your information, you consent to this transfer.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how you use our website. By using our site, you agree to data collection by us and Microsoft for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy

LinkedMash complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use and transfer information received from Google APIs only as necessary to provide our service features that utilize Google Sheets, and in accordance with the permissions you grant. Data Sharing and Consent for Third-Party Tools

Data Sharing with Third-Party Services

LinkedMash engages with third-party services to enhance functionality and user experience. These services include but are not limited to AI modeling tools provided by OpenAI, which we use to analyze user data and provide enhanced predictive insights and features within our app. We may share the following types of data with third-party services:

  • User interaction data with our services, which helps in refining user experience
  • Non-personally identifiable information used for analytics and feature enhancement
    • The purpose of sharing this data is to ensure that you receive the most efficient and customized service possible. Our partners are carefully chosen for their commitment to user privacy and are only provided with the information necessary to perform their specific services.

    Explicit Consent Mechanism

    To comply with best practices for data protection and user privacy, LinkedMash obtains explicit consent from users before any personal data is shared with third-party services. Here’s how we ensure your consent is informed and explicit:

  • Consent Request: When you first use features that involve third-party services, we present a clear and concise consent form that details the data to be shared, the purpose of sharing, and the third party receiving the data.
  • User Control: You have the ability to opt-in by actively selecting a checkbox that indicates your agreement to share this data. This consent is not presumed and must be explicitly given before any data sharing occurs.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team at hello@linkedmash.com. Upon withdrawal, we will cease to share your data with third parties and will confirm the cessation of data sharing via email.

    LinkedIn API Compliance

    LinkedMash is committed to full compliance with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. This section outlines our specific commitments regarding LinkedIn member data usage, storage, and protection.

    Data Usage Limitations and Permitted Use

    LinkedMash uses LinkedIn data solely to help members be more productive and successful through our application features. We explicitly confirm that LinkedIn data accessed via the LinkedIn API will NOT be utilized for:

    • Advertising purposes or ad targeting
    • Sales prospecting or identifying sales prospects
    • Recruiting activities or candidate identification
    • Enhancing customer data in CRM systems
    • Building audience lists for marketing purposes
    • Any commercial activities outside of helping you manage and create content from your LinkedIn saved posts


    Our permitted use cases include:
    • Organizing and managing your LinkedIn saved posts within our application
    • Providing search and filtering capabilities for your saved content
    • Enabling AI-powered insights extraction from your saved posts (with your explicit consent)
    • Facilitating content creation and scheduling posts back to LinkedIn as you direct


    No Unauthorized Third-Party Data Transfer

    In accordance with Section 4.2 of the LinkedIn API Terms of Use, LinkedMash does NOT sell, transfer, or provide access to LinkedIn Content (including Personal Information) to any third party without explicit user consent. Specifically:

    • Your saved posts data remains within our secure application environment
    • We do NOT automatically export or sync your data to external services (Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, etc.)
    • Any third-party processing (such as AI services) requires your explicit opt-in consent through our application interface
    • When you create and schedule posts, content is transferred back to LinkedIn only as you explicitly direct


    Data Storage and Retention

    LinkedMash stores your LinkedIn saved posts data to provide continuous access and functionality:

    • Saved Posts Content: Stored persistently to enable organization, search, and content creation features
    • Profile Information: Your basic LinkedIn profile information (name, username, profile picture) is stored to personalize your experience
    • Data Retention: Data is retained as long as your account is active and for purposes of providing our services
    • Deletion Rights: You can request complete deletion of your data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us


    Member Authorization and Consent

    LinkedMash obtains proper authorization before accessing LinkedIn data:

    • You authenticate via LinkedIn OAuth, granting us permission to access your saved posts
    • Our Chrome extension operates only when you're logged into LinkedIn and only accesses posts you've explicitly saved
    • Additional features requiring third-party data processing (AI insights) require separate explicit consent
    • You maintain full control over your data and can revoke access at any time


    Data Minimization and Security

    LinkedMash follows the principle of data minimization and security best practices:

    • We collect only the data necessary for our application's core functionality
    • LinkedIn API call volumes are monitored and kept within approved limits
    • All data transmissions are encrypted via SSL/TLS
    • Access to LinkedIn data is restricted to authorized personnel only
    • We implement regular security audits and compliance reviews


    Content Publishing to LinkedIn

    When you use our content creation and scheduling features:

    • Content is published back to LinkedIn only when you explicitly direct us to do so
    • You retain full control over what content is created and when it's published
    • We act as your authorized agent in posting content to your LinkedIn profile
    • Published content complies with LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies


    API Compliance Oversight

    LinkedMash maintains robust compliance measures:

    • Compliance Team: Designated personnel ensure ongoing compliance with LinkedIn's API Terms of Use
    • Data Deletion Capability: We can securely delete all LinkedIn data upon request or if required by LinkedIn
