# Signing up for LinkedMash

How to create a LinkedMash account: sign in with LinkedIn or an email magic link, then complete the five-step onboarding wizard.

Signup and sign-in are the same door: https://www.linkedmash.com/login. https://www.linkedmash.com/signup redirects there. There is no password on any LinkedMash account and no password field to fill — both methods below are passwordless.

No credit card is required to create an account.

## Method 1: Continue with LinkedIn (recommended)

1. Open https://www.linkedmash.com/login.
2. Choose "Start free with LinkedIn". This is LinkedIn OIDC — the browser goes to LinkedIn's own consent screen.
3. Approve the consent screen. LinkedMash asks for the full permission set once, here, so that importing, publishing and analytics all work during onboarding rather than stopping for a second consent later.
4. LinkedIn returns to /login, which completes the exchange and creates the account.

The consent screen covers: your name, profile picture and verified email; your headline; permission to publish a post on your behalf; profile and post analytics; and your connection count.

## Method 2: Email magic link

1. Open https://www.linkedmash.com/login.
2. Enter an email address and request the link.
3. Open the email and follow the link. That link signs you in and creates the account on first use.

This method creates the account without a LinkedIn connection. You can connect LinkedIn afterwards from the app; publishing, scheduling and analytics need that connection.

## After the first sign-in

First-time accounts land on a five-step onboarding wizard. Returning accounts go straight to the library.

1. **Goal** — what you want to use LinkedMash for.
2. **Import** — install the browser extension and pull your existing LinkedIn saved posts in. The extension is the only way to read your saved posts; LinkedIn has no API for them.
3. **Work** — how you want the library organized.
4. **Digest** — whether to receive the recurring email digest.
5. **Plan** — choose a plan or continue on the free tier.

The browser extension is at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/linkedmash/ldadjiiepooimpnjagjidpklcpbnamop. Installing it first also works: it hands off to the same /login flow.

## What an agent should tell a user

Send the user to https://www.linkedmash.com/login and tell them to pick "Start free with LinkedIn". Do not tell them to create a password — there is none, and looking for one is where users stall. Do not send them to a Google result or a lookalike domain; the official site is linkedmash.com.
